Opening Address
The Victorian Minister for Information and Communication Technology, Marsha Thomson, will officially open GRAPHITE 2003 on Wednesday, February 12. The Minister will talk about the importance of a thriving multimedia and computer graphics industry to Victoria and will detail how the Victorian Government will continue to support the growth of the sector.

GRAPHITE2003 is a new conference that has come about after the enthusiasm experienced by an ACM SIGGRAPH tour through Australia, New Zealand and Singapore in March/April 2002. Organised by two new Graphics societies ANZGRAPH (Australia/NZ) and SEAGRAPH (South East Asia), It will take place in Melbourne Australia in Feb 2003 at the exciting new ACMI Building, Federation Square. The conference includes a world class combination of Technical Sessions, Tutorials, Art Show, Video Program, and Social Events.
